There's No Place Like Home

Please excuse me, this is going to be a tiny bit of a rant. This process of finding a place to live is a lot harder than it seems; there are application fees of sometimes up to $50 per person, credit checks, background checks, and so on. A lot of places don't except pets, there are a tone of rude people you have to deal with and you can't even find a studio apartment for under $350 a month nowadays. This is ridiculous. I just want my own little place to call home where me and my two old cats can live peacefully and quietly. I want to be able to focus on going to college and doing homework and reading and enjoying my 20 hours a week job at the college library. That's not too much to ask. I am 27 years old and stuck living with my parents after a divorce. That is no place to be. I want to get up on my feet again, society does not make that easy.
